A sheer curtain or Roman blind comes as the 1 layer of fabric that you select, and generally only offers privacy during the day, where as a light filtering curtain or roman blind comes as 2 layers- the fabric that you select, along with a light filtering lining that is stitched to the rear, which provides you with privacy day and night time (silhouettes only visible), please note that with this option light still comes through, but your view is lost, where as a sheer product will allow your view to be maintained.
